Vandalism is a problem that many public institutions and local authorities have to struggle with. They invest in streetball and volleyball facilities (sports grounds) in order to provide alternative leisure amenities for children and youngsters. The baskets usually have perlon nets. However, such perlon nets are not immune to the penknives and lighters of vandalizing youngsters. The solution came from Ketten Wälder: Ball sport nets made of chains for manufacturers of sports and leisure equipment – a really hard nut which even the “sportiest“ hooligans won’t be able to crack.
