Premium brand cromox®, developed by Ketten Wälder GmbH in 2008, consistently vouches for sustainability. And not only in terms of environmental protection – please refer to the technical paper "Marine Conservation and Maritime Safety – High-Quality and Environmentally Friendly Anchor Chains" –, but also concerning safety and load-bearing capacity.

In compliance with the warranty extension notice – "By returning the chain to Ketten Wälder GmbH for inspection, a warranty extension of 2 years may be obtained at the end of the warranty period." –, the Ketten Wälder GmbH quality assurance and test team inspects chains returned by customers in the company's own Lloyd's-Register-certified laboratory. Down to the most miniscule detail, the chains will undergo special test procedures to assess their load-bearing capacity, surface condition as well as susceptibility to corrosion and, if required, will be repaired, reconditioned, cleaned, and repolished for the upcoming operating cycle.

This has also been the case with the chain recently returned by a NAUTIC customer, which has now been in service in the Mediterranean and Atlantic for 13 years:

All inspections of the test series produced excellent results, so the chain was able to "go on board" again immediately and without any further repair measures – please view picture documentation.
