The cromox® stainless steel connecting links are the result of the highest quality standards in development and production at Ketten-Wälder. These blasted grade 60 connecting links are specially designed for use in harsh environments and offer an excellent combination of durability and corrosion resistance. The functionality allows for quick and reliable application. The stainless steel connecting links are available in seven variants.
The CVG series connecting links are made of AISI 318LN Duplex stainless steel and are available in sizes CVG-05 to CVG-16 for chain sizes from 5 mm to 16 mm. The load capacity of these variants ranges from 0.63 tons to 6.0 tons. The connecting links are manufactured within tight tolerances and tested accordingly, ensuring maximum precision and reliability. Our CVG series range therefore covers all common requirements and ensures that the right solution is available for every application. These connecting links are manufactured in accordance with the DIN EN 1677-1 standard. Standards
Our connecting links comply with DIN EN 1677-1, which specifies strict quality and safety standards. This standard specifies the technical requirements for the individual parts of slings that are developed and manufactured for the secure connection of round steel chains, for example. It defines the materials and their chemical composition and sets requirements for the manufacture, surface finish and mechanical properties. In addition, the standard describes the mandatory test methods such as the static tensile test, the fatigue test, the production test and the non-destructive testing methods in order to ensure the high quality and safety of the connecting links.
Materials
The duplex stainless steel AISI 318LN used is characterized by its high strength and excellent corrosion resistance. This stainless steel combines the advantages of austenitic and ferritic steels and offers outstanding resistance to stresses such as pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. Due to these properties, AISI 318LN duplex stainless steel is used in shipbuilding and in the chemical industry for reactors and storage tanks, for example, as it meets the high strength requirements and can withstand aggressive chemical environments
