It is is designated X2CrNiMoN22-5-3 and is particularly resistant to stress corrosion cracking and pitting in aggressive environments such as chlorinated media. The ferrite and austenite phases it contains give it high strength and good resistance to various forms of corrosion. In addition, this steel has a particularly high yield strength.
